Dian Fossey has always been a hero of mine since childhood and I achieved my goal of aspiring to be her in 1997 by visiting the gorillas in Rwanda. Dian gave up her life for the gorillas, virtually becoming one of them as she mimicked their behaviours in order to be included into their family.
